Brokers Notes

The story of "Micjay" is not unique in the process of building a yacht, but knowing the owner is to understand this project. A longtime Detroit are sailor during the golden years of growth in the sport, watching his success as a builder, sailor and family man, with all of those passions culminating in "Micjay". I get it, he recognized early on that fast is a lot more fun, so that was the first mandate to Alan Andrews a successful performance designer. In his selection of Wiggers Yachts to build it, the boat build area of Ontario Canada was a short drive away, so he could work VERY closely, ever the builder, to make this a spectacular yacht. I am a woodworker and can tell you the fit and finish of the woodwork is off the charts. The family has sailed through-out the Great Lakes and Caribbean, with equal attention given to maintainance. Recently redecorated and refinished "Micjay" is refreshed and ready for your adventure. It is currently afloat but unrigged ready to go back in heated storage on September 21, so if you act quickly you can make it south!!!

Accommodations

Interior:

You will find companionway easy to navigate with great handrails and well positioned steps, and its a trophy piece of woodwork too, so welcome below! The wide open saloon is ready for the family to gather or entertain a cast of thousands, with a LARGE L-shape settee to port and two bucket chairs to stbd, with a game table and full entertainment center behind. The hi/lo table converts for dining. The galley is out of the flow but not out of the action, off to stbd and aft. You will see in the photos it has a ton of storage, both cold (Sea Frost System) and dry. Mechanical space is under the companionway with 3 side access, and sub-sole all well labeled. The nav area has good tool storage below and another frig/freezer, with the wet locker just aft.

You can tell who designed the owners stateroom, MOM! Lets start with a 7'3'' x 58" berth off to port. A full size couch with cedar lined storage fore and aft of it. Wide open and airy, no clutter. The head features a roomy tub, yes TUB, with an incorporated seat, for, you know all that MOM stuff! You can see from the photos someone really thought about easy access to the all the storage in this boat.

Aft you have two guest staterooms with private heads in each and a central shower, a very functional layout.  The berths a 81'' x 55" and have 6' headroom in the dressing area. They are light and airy like all the areas of the boat.
